Community Tasting Notes (4) Avg Score: 90.8 points

  • 91 - Decant 1 hr- fading red/brown but clear and bright. Nose of wet towel (wife) at first, after an hour, cherries, stones floral bouquet. Palate- ethereal, smooth-cherries. Great find-last bottle. Without looking at previous notes first, rated all 3 the same with similiar tasting notes...a beauty! (for the record-mold on the cork)

  • Sour cherry, earthy nose. Palate- Plum flesh, soft and succulent framed with a balanced tannin structure. Finish is crisp but very smooth. (no mold on cork) 91

  • The color was just slightly bricking, still bright and clear. Very ethereal, reticent nose that required some work to pick up on the aromas of cherries and earth. Tannins were still present and were well balanced with the fruit and acidity. All I could come up with on the palate was baked cherry cobbler that persisted beyond the finish. My first burgundy. Understated and elegant-91... (note- had to wipe off mold under foil, cork soaked through almost to top)

  • Still a bit tight, both on nose and palate, but enough indication of the raspberries and spice for it to be lovely now. Still some tannin. V good.
