Nose of tropical fruits and wax that give way to notes of mangoes, papayas and some mineral notes. The finish has a silky texture with some alcohol notes when the wine warms up to room temperature.

Marsanne is a rough varietal to pull off solo, its best blended, this is one of the best had yet, especially domestically. Surprised at higher alc (>15%) as it ripens so late in RRV. Golden yellow color. Nose of apricot, ripe white fruit, hint of caramel. Dense, viscous, lush in mouth, from lees stirring, neutral oak. Stone fruit, slightly nutty. Good acidity. Like to pair this with crab and butter, but its solo at the moment.
Look forward to trying Rods next release if he does another 100%

15.4% alcohol. Light yellow color. Pretty nose of stone fruit, ripe apple, and a touch of minerality. In the mouth, very ripe and round, with a juicy, red apple fruit profile. A viscous texture, with subtle acidity. Bit of hit on the finish draws out a touch of bitterness. B+

A lush full bodied Marsanne, a very difficult varietal to pull off solo.
