  • This is past peak, but not that far off given its age. Still some pleasure here. Slightly brownish red in color. Herbal nose, bit of cherry, pleasant. The palate shows still pleasant fruit, cherry, strawberry, slightly muted. Soft tannins, decent acidity, good balance. Finishes surprisingly long with light strawberry and spice flavors. As I said, past peak, but not shot. Slowly fading into a graceful old age.

  • Not too sure where the drinking window came for this wine, it's drinking super well right now and there is certainly enough fruit for it to go another 5 years for sure. All the black cherry you could want with a great finish. Bummed this is last of my 3 bottles. Winner.

  • Pinot Cafe: EWG. This wine was clearly a lighter color than the 1st 2. I smelled bright notes of sweet cherry and raspberry-strawberry. I liked the contrast of this wine with the other 2 Pinots--higher-toned, and not as big. This had good balance, but I recall sensing a lot of heat in the finish.

  • Started with an impressively pure nose of strawberry, red cherry, white flowers, dusty rock and a touch of cotton candy. Filled out nicely with darker currant and earth notes on the palate. At the same time crisp and silky. Beautifully balanced finish. Over a couple of hours added dark plummy fruit and clove. Graceful and complete. Close to peak.

  • Beautiful wine consumed at Boulevard Restaurant in San Francisco. The wine was fairly light and slightly cloudy. Significant rasperry/strawberry notes with a minearalness running through it. Medium bodied, no noticeable tannins, very silky mouthfeel. This was a perfect food wine, with no harsh edges or heat of any kind. Drinking very well now but with a potential for a bit more upside, I will drink my remaining bottle within the next two years.
