Big black fruit with slightly sweet spice, still surprisingly fresh for its age. Rich start, then borderline hollow in the middle, wrapping up with a nicely complete finish with good+ length. Still drinking very well, but probably better a few years ago.

Ripe blackberry and plum aromas and flavors. Bit of spice on the nose, less so on palate. Fruit also comes across as more jammy on the palate. Tannins are big and sweet, and seem to have mostly integrated. Clearly a more modern style Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.
