  Still banging. Dark ruby red color and great finish. Fruit has subsided some but still holding up.

  Needed a short decant. Dark red with slight bricking at the edge. Very aromatic with ripe plum, cherry, black fruit, blueberries , anise, and tar. Silky smooth mouthfeel. Still has plenty of fruit with black cherry, black fruit, plum, tobacco, anise, and forest floor. Silky tannins in the long finish.

  Five years ago, I thought this wine was definitely past its prime. Today it's come back around. Dark red, fading at the rim. Slightly funky at first on the nose, then dark fruit, blueberries and tar. Smooth on the palate, black cherries, tobacco, blackberries. Very ripe and almost Bordeaux-like. Very fine tannins, excellent acidity, good balance. Finishes long with bright berry notes. Becomes brighter and more red-fruited with air. Perhaps a hair past prime but still great. I'd still drink these sooner than later.

  2 hour decant. Surprisingly little sediment. Really good bottle in the modern Napa style.

  Just a delightful bottle. On the nose, clean earthy notes and forest mushrooms. Bold flavor of plums and cherries, supported by well-integrated tannins. Licorice finish is long and adds to the wine's overall balance. An excellent wine with great poise and balance. From a magnum. Drink now to 2030.
