Fourth of four bottles. Some sediment left in the bottle but colour and tannins still going strong. Drink or hold.
Screwcap, 14.5% alc. Crimson hue to the deep red colour. Nose shows good Margaret River Cabernet typicity with gravel, bay, menthol, and blackcurrant. A coffee oak element is also apparent. The savoury palate is pretty direct and linear, with dusty tannins and reasonable length. Opinion: Solid, and reliable cabernet, that will never wow, but should drink well over the next 6-8 years. Much better than the 2004, from memory.
Bit past it’s prime now, would drink ASAP
Pure Margaret River cassis; very satisfying and great value.
