I think this might have been one the first of the new vineyard cabernet malbecs that Bailey did. Not in the class of the normal 93 dry red 1 and missing a little pedigree and stuffing its more famous big brother would have, but still a lovely wine. Drank with a 92 Johns Blend Langhorne creek straight cabernet that was stunning ( 96 pts). the YY New Vineyard wine had lovely mature red fruits and some savory stalkyness. Lovely medium bodied mouthfeel and drinking in its prime. Some cheese and bikkies went well with it. It continued to improve over time and Timmy Bird said both wines got even better later that evening. Anyway a yummy wine but outclassed by the superb 92 Johns Blend ( Glaetzer) on the day by a poofteenth.
