The colour is deep red. On the nose a lot of sweet oak and dark cherries but the oak seems overwhelming. On the palate hard tannins, bitter cherries. In fact in general a very hardwine with the oak beeing much to present, in fact so much that the fruit has disappeared. IMHO, this is an example of a barbera that has been spoilt by to much barrique. Avoid - not at all my taste. No balance at all and boring due to the lack of fruit.

Dark purple color. Starts with jammy black fruit on nose with some floral notes in background. Intense black cherry and plum on palate, powerful but quite balanced. Long finish is very nicely balanced and textured. While this isn't a timid wine, it is incredibly well done in its style, but I'd strongly suggest drinking this young.

Big, black fruit on nose and palate, but now starting to show some heat and flabbiness with a few extra years in bottle.

The nose is not very expressive with black berries and chocolate. Simple textured palate with bittersweet and coffee. Simple finish. Not inspiring.
