negoce wine from a weak vintage and *bam* this was great. complex cranberry and bitter red fruits, with lovely acidity, hints of clove and some other savory characteristics here. wow.

Similar to my earlier note on this wine. A gorgeous bottle with incredible perfume on the nose and big red cherry notes on the palate. Nothing green here, just fantastic Grand Cru Burgundy. Seems to be peaking now.

Yes, yes, yes. Medium+ garnet. Big perfumed nose. Ripe red fruits, blood orange, cinnamon/nutmeg, slight tar/barnyard. Backbone of tannin and acidity, with a concentrated, velvety mouth feel. Long finish. Gorgeous.

Gorgeously perfumed wine. Rich and textured on the palate with dark cherry and herbs. Oak is well integrated. Very enjoyable wine - did not want the bottle to end. Still early in its evolution. Nothing green about this '04.

Scared me at first, until the hints of Bret blew off. Good, bright cherry flavors...but strikes me as a bit austere, with a medium finish. Maybe the second bottle will impress more...
