This thirteen year old Pinot from wine maker Blair Walter was stunning. We opened it and decanted it for an hour before imbibing. Upon decanting the initial nose was intense fruit, raspberry and cherry, which carried through to the palate. The tannins were soft and mouth filling. The aftertaste lingered and continued to evolve with sweet fruit notes. Extremely well balanced wine, shame it was our last bottle.

Medium depth colour, light rim. Plenty of ripe fruit, some cherry stone zest, a little earth, dark berry fruits. Rich and intense, some plums and boysenberry fruits, well integrated oak, some whole bunch spicy twang to the finish. Tasty.

Felton Road Block Bonanza #9: spicy nose with blackberry, coffee, chocolate, violet and hints of smoke. Mature mouthfeel with spices, good balance, nice acidity and a smoky touch. Developed but a little vulgo.
