  • From a forgotten 375 that's been in the refrigerator for a long time. I was shocked that it was not only drinkable but quite good. Rounder but still enough acidity, and none of the stridency. NZ SB sometimes has. Not bad with a shrimp saute in oil and garlic with onions/mushrooms/tomatoes.

  • The nose is identical to the last bottle, though the acidity seems dialed down a notch on the palate. Still has a good mineral/slate thing happening on the palate that I like, but the overall structure doesn't seem as fresh. It's getting that "old" feel which isn't necessarily a good thing for this style. Still enjoyable but drink these up now.

  • At home W/ salmon and smoke oysters. Light, acid & crispy, some lime & a short mineral finish. VG

  • Lemongrass up front with wet stone mineral and something that distinctly reminds me of certain micro-brews that have been aged with orange peels. Solid QPR.

  • Pale straw color. Nose: Asian pear, guava, and passionfruit accented by lemongrass, lemon/lime peel, river stone, and a hint of grilled asparagus. Medium body on the silky textured palate: Asian pear, guava, and grapefruit with lemongrass, crushed rock, citrus peel, and again the hint of grilled asparagus. Counterpoint of bright acidity. Lingering crushed rock, citrus peel, and a bit of toothpick on the moderate/long finish. Perfect balance. Excellent wine. Superb value.
