Tuesday, November 21, 2023 - Decanted for about 2 hours.

Nose: Fragrant peaches, lime, elder flower and orange blossom at first. Crushed stones, savoury herbs and floral aromas follow soon after. Lemon zest, hints of marzipan and nutmeg towards the end.

Taste: Lime, peaches and grapefruit on the palate. Notes of savoury herbs and crushed stones afterwards. Very fresh acidity, slight salinity and noticeable viscosity. On the finish the wine shows herbs, crushed stones, nutmeg and peaches.

Tremendous nose and palate, the wine is well structured and indicative of ripe Wachau Riesling. This wine shows the great potential of the 2021 vintage very well. Very good aging potential, decanting definitely recommended for drinking young.
