Saturday, May 4, 2024 - Popped and poured. This is a medium red wine. On the nose, I get black olives, sea salt, and decaying vegetables. In the mouth, this is a savory wine, with an obvious degree of wildness coupled together with some sour cherry notes. The finish is funky and briny while pulling a robust acid thread through the experience. Overall, this was an interesting and enjoyable wine (it has the general family style of the Bionic wines, but is ratcheted down from some Cayuse or Horsepower expressions). This should be a great wine for food, particularly Mediterranean or similar dishes. As with all these funky WA/OR border wines, this is not something everyone will enjoy or appreciate. 92 points.
