91 Points

Sunday, May 5, 2024 - Late night at home with J. 1 day old bottle. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart. The story, the wine, the history. Poignant that I enjoyed the read of "Godforsaken Grapes" recently.
Appearance is slightly cloudy, pale intensity, lemon colour. Thin legs.
Nose medium intensity, with aromas of apple cider, sour lemon, yeasty lees, hint of alpine flowers. Developing.
On the palate, high acidity, medium- alcohol (12%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of intense sour lemon, apple cider, quince, skin contact lees, sweet refreshing alpine flower juice, minerality. Long zippy acidic finish.
Very good quality. Refreshing invigorating wine that feels so unique. Feels like it might age well too.
