Decanted 90 minutes and drank with Chili & Brown Sugar rubbed rack of lamb. Dark color. Wife guessed Syrah because it does have an initial hit of sweetness but it does fade to Tempranillo. Medium finish. Medium/full mouth feel. This one might be hard to guess in a blind tasting. Excellent QPR at $35. Cost is higher now with recent vintages. Excellent Toro if you haven’t tried this region.

Decanted 30 minutes but it’s not enough. My bad. It needs two hours to softer. Dark black color. This is just so tasty but a bit tannic initially. At two hour mark the wine softened and was lovely. Dark black fruits dominate. Toro is becoming a favorite Spanish wine of mine now.

Decanted one hour. Poured 1/2 glasses 30 minutes before dinner of grilled sweetbreads. Dark color. Nice tannins but soft. Full flavor profile of dark red fruits. Full mouthfeel. Very smooth with nice acidity & full body. Great QPR. Delicate aromas of berries. Search Spain Toro wines out before others figure it out.

Decanted one hour then drank over the next 45 minutes. Initially bold & full but completely approachable. Dark red fruits dominate. Medium/full mouthfeel that softened over the dinner. Excellent QPR. Sorry Collector1855 couldn’t appreciate a $35 wine like this. Spain wines are great QPR wines. Get yours before people figure it out. Big hitter Chinese won’t like this lol.
Color: Dark purple core. Nose: Blackberry, plum, oak, vanilla. Red + black fruit, Taste: full body, medium plus acidity, medium+ sweetness, low tannin, medium alcohol

Awesome, really dense and rich without going over the top at all. I think this is 100% french oak (?), but it smells strongly of american oak, with pure vanilla and dill buttressing a wallop of black, black, black fruit. Very ripe, but distinctly structured and oak-edged in a way that really nullifies any sense of sweetness. Reminded me of really excellent Barossa Shiraz, just like the last serious Toro I tried (older vintage of Numanthia.) Not the kind of thing to drink lightly.
excellent quality wine. heavy bottle. Big and bold wine yet soft. Lots of oak, but very smooth and luscious. chocolate and coffee notes; vanilla; baking spices.

Maybe I opened this way too early. Still, very nice overall. Substantial body and substantial fruit, maybe even a bit overpowering. Figs, ripe red peach, cured dates, apple pie, black licorice, cracked pepper. Nice complexity, long finish. I will wait on my remaining bottles.

Big and tannic, but full of vibrant fruit with layers of flavor. It softens with time in glass, but think this wine will be absolutely amazing in about 5 years.

Pretty typical Toro. Hard to keep too much fruit from coming through. Much better for me on day 2. Probably will be much better in a few years.

I like this wine a bunch. Way more structure from tannins than most wine in this area. Would easily pair with fat/steak.

A very nice tempranillo! Lots of black fruit, sour cherry and savory fruits. Bought on a whim and quite pleased. Even better the second day.
