Decanted 30 minutes. Light color and typical Kynsi funky nose. No more cellaring is needed and unlikely to improve from here. Wine is still very good but tannings fading. Great drinking now. Drink up.

Sentimental wine for me as our son went to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo & we were wine club members and went there often. The Bien Nacido I always loved has been replaced by Solomon Hills but always loved this wine.

Lots of oak vanilla on the nose & palate. Ripe fruit typical of CA Pinot’s. I still can enjoy this style periodically but don’t want a steady diet of it.
Same as previous bottles. Ripe (some would say over ripe) fruit, vanilla & Oak. Red fruits dominate. Nice complexity and flavor layers. A bit sweet typical of the area but it lends itself to drinking by itself which is a positive. Unlike Burgundy & Oregon PN that I think is better with food. I will probably always have some PN’s in my cellar for diversity but I’ll always have moreBurgundy.

Similar to previous notes. Explosion of strawberries. Medium mouth feel. Dark color. Some cola notes with earth & spice. Can drink by itself or with food. Not too sweet which is great.

Decanted 90 minutes. Some funk on the nose but lots of red fruits. First sip is raspberry, cherry, rhubarb and a nice bit of dirt & earth. Smooth tannins and wonderful fruit but not sweet. More feminine in style. Similar to Loring single vineyard Pinot’s. I think Kynsi is not we’ll know to a lot of folks but their wines are great. Just rejoined the Wine Club so looking forward to buying more from this great Winery.

Lots of sweetness. I’m growing out of this style but get why many like it. A style I used to love but have moved on.
