Woah - the nose is incredibly bright and lifted - blackcurrant and kirsch with some pristine cherry and a backing of graphite. The acidity is really driven, it stretches the fruit flavour out across the palate really well. Medium depth, it is nice now but will be better if it can take on some depth through age.

Just opened. With some brett or stem on the nose? Almost savory fruit quality across the palate, richly aromatic, bright acids, very soft in tannins. We will see how it opens up.
Second day open, left in fridge, drunk 1/3 down on the bottle, without further protection:
Note the unsual cork. Micro-ship embedded in there?
Nose now very pronouced: floral note of chamomile, perfume of violet and honey. Red fruit of raspberry and dark cherry, almost a brambely note. sweet spice of nutmeg, just a hint of medicinal, mint, stems?
Palate is still a touch harder, not very much like a Chambolle Musigny to me. Or at least, not a soft and svelt as I would have expected. Maybe this is some stem tannin showing through? Although that is not what comes across in the flavors. More just youth. Needing time, quite vibrant.

Great Bourgogne and very typical Chambolle. Favourable pricetag as well. My first Ponsot and recommended.

PnP. Intense and powerful, yet elegant. One sip, and you would know that you are in for a treat. I just fell in love with this Domaine.

Lovely Chambolle. Pure expression of terroir. Very Ponsot as well.

Opened and served. Red fruit, full on on the nose. Chambole sweet core and medium body. Maybe a touch too sweet at this stage. Enjoyable. 88 from us
