Delicious. Really classy Cali Cab! In really good shape after 20 minutes of air. Drink now or over the next 3 to 5 years. Could hold it longer but don’t see it getting that much better with age.

Excellent wine. Well-balanced. Not fully open for business but still drinking beautifully today with good ripeness on the medium to dark fruit profile. Drink or hold. Could get slightly better with a couple of years of aging but certainly worth opening a bottle or two today if you have multiple bottles of this wine.

Drinking great right now. Beautifully balanced but definitely has some ripe Napa fruit. I thought this was a very classy wine. Cheers!

They can be drunk now, but I am definitely holding onto the Cappella S. Stefano for a while longer. They are finally shedding some of their oak though the fruit is still a little primary. The '04s are ready now. That was a great buy on the Pousse! They have quickly turned into one of my favorite producers under their new winemaker.

4/6/2013 5:32:00 PM - 2008 Pegau is up and down, an erratic vintage for them. The 2010 is something really special I suspect... Pegau varies a lot vintage to vintage and really seems to be more of a reflection of the wild character of each vintage. I think fondly of 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010. They are each like different children and all beautiful in their own way.
