Tried as a PNP thru an aerator. Pure mocha and vanilla, would have thought it was an 18 or 19 at best. Day 2 was a completely different story, plush and full of dark/red fruit. Nose was a bit muted but a real joy to drink. Give these a couple hour decant before enjoying

This is a big bold Beckstoffer monster! Decanted for 2.5 hours and upon pour into glass it was exploding with blueberries and other dark fruit. Taste was similar to nose but with a touch of red fruit also. Took a lot of swirling to get alcohol to go away during first glass and was pretty much gone on second glass. Can easily go for another 10 years. Being that last ½ glass was the best, probably should have decanted for another hour or two. If you like your fruit big and in your face (not a fruit bomb by any means), you'll love this. Really wish I had a few more bottles.

Have to say that I'm still not excited about this wine after the 3rd consumed bottle. 5 hour decant. It's just missing something. Fruit is dark and subtle and tasty, just doesn't have the typical B Cellars "flair" like their other Beckstoffer wines. Enjoyable, yes, but leaves me wanting something more. One bottle left and I'm going to sit on it for a few more years.
