I’m quite happy with the way this is progressing. Great producer and superb vintage is a good combo. I’m sorry to hear of some that have bottles that are in poor condition. Transit from Europe clearly matters with delicate wines. My case appears to be in good shape so far. Lots of complexity and a bit less fruit forward than many from this vintage. I’m a fan.

A delightful and tasty Nebbiolo. Much more open than the 2013 I’ve had recently. A pretty set of flavours with delicacy and the ever present tannic backbone. Just hitting its stride.

Starting to strut its stuff. 3 hour decant and it showed very well alongside the 2009, also superb.

I also agree re Neb, except that I have now come firmly into the camp of those who see Neb as an inherently more complex, interesting and pleasurable grape. The tannin profile is, of course, extremely different and I have no issue with those who find Pinot better answers their requirements. Good drinking to you!
