Day 2 tasting notes. Wow, this really opened up overnight. Golden color. Flowery flagrance with hints of honey and stones. Reminds me of what it smells like after a rain. Complex on the palate with lingering flavors of pear, vanilla, wet stones. Good acidity and just the right hint of oak. Well structured, elegant wine that can age for a few more years and can be fully enjoyed now with some air.

This is drinking beautifully right now. Ruby in the center, orange bricking on the rim. Fully integrated tannins. Soft, lingering cedar, leather and spice nuances. One of my favorite Bordeaux producers. High quality and reasonably priced. This vintage is at it's peak now and ready to fully enjoy. So glad I bought a case of this. A winner.

Solid tannins but ends abruptly on the palate with very little fruit. Group finished the bottle once everything else was gone. This is the fourth bottle and it’s been similar every time.
8/2/2017 10:01:00 AM - Nice meeting you last night. We have quite a few wines in common. We should try to get together again sometime. Check out my website dtpwineadvisors.com I try to do some wine consulting and education somewhat in competition with our hosts last night so I keep a low profile on that. But you may find the discussion on my philosophy interesting and informative.
