Yeah, this is everything one would want in a BTG Assyrtiko. Rich, lemony fruit, with live wire acidity to keep it nimble. Lustrous texture, and decent depth. Yum and an excellent accompaniment to saffron seafood orzo.

Needs some time for the oak to integrate, but otherwise a tremendously tasty bottle of bdb that starts nicely and opens up over 3 hours. California sunshine, with ripe pear, lemon, grapefruit, and a hefty dose of chalk and seaspray. Very savory, with excellent cut combined with richness that gives good shape to the wine. A bit of overt vanilla which is the main detractor but one would expect it to integrate over time. 93+

Excellent, fresh bdb, with very fine mousse. A bit of smoky reduction that blows off to show lemon and green apple. Palate has plenty of tension, vibrant and vivid with chalk and seaspray, and excellent acid. Not much yeastiness, much more delicate and cut-driven than some of the other UTW cuvées (Brousseau, I’m looking at you), and reminds me a bit of Lahert freres BdB.
