This has improved since my last encounter in October; I'd say this has come up to the lowest level of excellence. Very approachable, not much in the way of cut, but perfectly fine to drink. Or hold.

My third of three bottles; the first two were undrinkable. This one was Slow O'd for a few hours and decanted for a few more. This displayed a nice edge to an otherwise silky smooth experience. Really an outstanding Brunello; a shame about the first two bottles. Drink or hold, and hope you scored the right batch.

Slow O'd for a few hours; decanted for a few more. Soft and supple; drinking perfectly now, but I can see this going strong for another decade, easy. Fine to drink now, but could improve with more time sideways.

2/10/2024 7:00:00 PM - Prisim…thank you for your note..but I’ve learned over the years that when someone’s review is completely at odds with almost everyone else, then something is amiss.
12/8/2023 7:43:00 PM - Prism, thank you for your note. I've slightly edited my review of 2020 The Glories no.04. It as part of a multi-bottle offering, so I did not have any control over what was in the bundle. It was an "entry" offering to their mailing list (from their wait list). Their Pinot Noirs get great reviews and one time I tried their Pinot in the past it was exceptional (with a price to match). Anyway, thanks for your note and happy sipping.
12/20/2013 7:22:00 PM - Nice use of the word "cotton" in one of your reviews; I appreciate a person with a good vocabulary. Your wife has excellent taste in her enjoyment of Muscadet Sevre-et-Maine, nothing better for oysters. In regards to drinking more white wines, a wise man once told me, "The other half of the world's great wines are white."
12/13/2013 8:23:00 AM - have enjoyed reading your notes & like the crossover in shared wine types. particularly interested when you find successful food-wine pairings w/vegetable-based meals, as this is still the most challenging for me. particularly since our cellar is predominately red wines (85/15). sante!
