Not sure why but even after reading some of the notes below I didn't have high expectations for this wine and was I wrong. Opened 30 to an hour before drinking. A lush and refined wine that has great a nose and mouth feel. Mint and orchard fruit stand out to me but quite balanced. In a great place but dare say I think it will improve. 95/96

A really good bottle of wine but I will continue to be surprised by how young Roumier Bonnes Mares can taste even after 23yrs and a vintage thats generally accessible. Very brooding but very charming and with more air becomes more giving and elegant.
