WSET3 Course Notes; 4/28/2024-6/9/2024 (WineHouse, Los Angeles): A: Deep ruby. N: Medium+ intensity. Blackcurrant and blackcurrant leaf. Blackberry jam. Black pepper and violets. Vanilla really shows: plenty of oak. Fresh tobacco and earthiness. Developing. P: Dry. Medium acidity. Medium+ tannin and high alcohol. Full body, medium+ intensity. Jammy black fruit with a lot of spices. Long finish. AQ: Very good. 9/18 Can drink now but is suitable for further ageing.

WSET3 Course Notes; 4/28/2024-6/9/2024 (WineHouse, Los Angeles): A: Medium garnet. N: Medium+ intensity. Dried cherries and maybe potpourri. Coconut and smoke. Leather, earthiness, a lot of tobacco. All together, there is a smell of a lit cigar. Developed already. P: Dry, medium+ acidity. Medium tannin, alcohol and body. Medium+ flavour intensity. Dried cherries, cedar, and earthiness. Medium+ finish. AQ: Very good, Burgundian in style. The hype is real, not much I can personally add. 9+/18 Drink now but will hold for longer (just won't necessarily improve).
