Rich ruby color. Love the aromas of tangy red currants, red plums, along with smoky chipotle spice, roses and violets, clove, savory herbs. Full but tangy on the palate, still solid grip to the tannins. The tangy red and black cherry fruit is mixed with rose petals, grilled herbs, violets, peppered steak. Love the spicy/fresh combo. Impressive showing.

I found this Priorat, a blend of 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 15% Carignan, aged 12-14 months in French oak, at Costco. It has a deep garnet color and a nose of dark berries and stewed prunes. This wine tastes of blackberries, plums, licorice, and stoney/dusty minerality. This Priorat is medium to full bodied with a nice rich mouthfeel. It is balanced, with good acidity, gritty tannins, and a lengthy finish. This wine represents exceptionally good QPR.

Deep dark red, the wine presents itself on a thick bed of ripe blackberries with notes of liqourice (in fact lots of liqourice!), raisins, hints of leather and shist. Modern, full-bodied, intense but with a great freshness. Pleasantly surprised by this, as I did not expect much from it due to Torres' involvement and the high Parker ratings. Hats off!
