Ripe fruity and spicy nose with also some chocolate. Very rich mouth. Mature tannins, finishes as chocolate covered cherries. No longer has any impression of elegance that I seem to have gotten from it many years ago.

Deep ruby red in the glass. Typical Old World nose reflecting terroir and production methods nicely - aromas of wet soil, marzipan, cooked plum, blackberry jam and cedar. Smooth palate with a creamy texture and medium, ripe tannins. The hot alcohol jumps out all the way into the finish and mixes with the slight splash of VA. All in all, if you're not an experienced wine drinker, this will all be imperceptible, especially if paired with a nice piece of meat or hard cheeses. Not the best from Torres, but can casually impress.

Cherry nose, surprisingly higher pitched than I was expecting. Good mouth feel. Pleasant acidity with a long finish. Usually I'm sensitive to heat, but not sensing it here despite the 15% ABV. Not a particularly complex wine, but everything is well balanced, and even a bit more elegant than I was expecting, particularly in the nose. Still, a bit pricey for what it delivers.

Dark garnet. Ripe and evolved with jammy blackberry fruit and intense sweet spices (clove, cinnamon). Full-bodieded, dense and creamy-textured with noticeable heat from 15.5% alcohol, medium acidity and a long aftertaste. Drink soon.

One-dimensional; fruit tired and uninspiring with elements not synchronizing. Eilther I'm having a bad day or this wine is. Dumb stage for one of us.
