Alex's TWS dinner (Noizé, London): Dark copper, quite evolved, but still glowing. Marmalade, apricot, manuka honey, this is rich, floral, oily and quite lovely. Just love how this plays with your tongue, vibrant and alive, the sweetness and acidity are in balance and this will go the distance. Delicious now. Everyone should drink more Sauternes, the QPR is absurd and it is rare you ever get a duff bottle.
Deep golden honey hue. Excellent texture and mouthfeel. A little “thinner” than I like and one of the reasons d’yquem is always 100 when others are 96. I believe this wine was scored 100 by the pros and I can see that but tonight it was just a little flat to me. Explosive aromas of white peach, honey, apricot and caramel. It was delicious and everyone’s glasses were empty within a few minutes. Great choice by Ken Fredrickson. Highky recommended and top of the line QPR

It's worth mentioning that out of the two halves we had, the darker was atrocious. It was petrol fumes and plastic. The second lighter however was an absolute delight. Apricot forward with quince and white flower, nectar running all the way through. Spectacular.

Small Tasting & Dinner with Friends: Half bottle. Darker color as many '03s show. Apricot syrup and pear with a hint of spice on the back end. Typical Suduiraut richness. Lovely. (R&D)

Fruit and perfect botrytis, good acid support, mild bitters, mouth filling, and long. Fantastic wine. One of the best P/Q sauternes wines.
