  This village wine from this producer was one that early on got me into Burgundy as it is affordable and good quality and has depth. Sadly this vintage from Chevillion is disappointing. I suspect it needed to be drunk earlier, or is simply not a good wine from a challenging vintage. Notes: pale ruby with garnet tinge. Light nose of red and ripe fruit. Strawberry. Some vegetative notes of green pepper and dry herbs. Secondary wet leaves. Is Med- body alc and is dry. Medium tannic and acidity. Not that intense and has an average finish. Overall is a little flat and simple. I don’t think there’s much to be gained from waiting any longer with this wine.

  Like all of these wines needed hours to come together and open up. Weird and unpleasant after 1 hour. Ok after 2-3. Quite good after 4-5 hours
