Dinner at Muse with Steve & Barb. Pale gold in the glass with a very active mousse. Lively, brisk acidity and freshness mixes with pears and apples in this medium bodied wine. Quite young tasting, but well integrated at the same time. Finishes medium in length and very clean. Will be even better in a few years but quite nice today. The '98 Chardonnay based Champagnes really seem to be doing quite well. 50+12+12+8+8 = 90+

Easter Break Champagnes (Bollinger 90/6/7, Krug NV/90, Jacquesson 95 Rose/Blanc etc) (France): Quite unforgiving, fresh citrus, very undeveloped and strict on the finish

Nice balance with interesting bitterness on both palate and finish.
