This too a few hours to come around and put on complexity. It’s definitely a pitch black and ripe bruiser but gain complexity at about the 5 hour mark open. No formal notes other that it likely hits peak in a few years.

Decanted for 90 minutes prior to imbibing then consumed over 4 hours. I like the wine. It has balance, but it tastes like a lot of this producer's wine: very smooth; satiny texture; hints of chocolate; relaxingly restrained; and it is expensive. But it does not set itself far enough apart from their other wines to justify the price tag. Maybe I am just becoming bored with the predictably of Napa Cabernet.

This is the only Realm i hadn't tried. Incredible. Rich, but not overdone. Dark fruits, pencil lead, some savoy notes. I think this has 1-2 years left in its epic state it is in today. But should drink well the next 4 to 6 years.

Four hour decant. This was good but not mind blowing. I expected more from an overpriced Realm library wine! Lots of fruit and a touch of licorice and spice, but nothing very special in my view (or my husband who is a great ‘naïve’ taster and has no expectations). A touch better the next day but not much has changed. I honestly preferred the ‘17 Bard that I had last week.
