  • Gold coloured, medium intensity, a lot of small bubbles. Developed, medium intensity nose. Bread and fruit. On the palate dry, high acidity, medium body with foamy effervescence. Clean and fresch. Brioche, red winter apples, minerality. Rather short finish. Very nice, just wished for a bit longer aftertaste.

From back label: 100% pinot noir. Vintage 2012, bottled May 2013, deg Oct 2018. Dos 2 g/l.
Vines planted in 1983, parcelle Les Bauchets, south-east, mi-coteaux. Sandy, argilo-calcaire soil. Slow fermentation, "FML non recherchée". Not fined or filtrated.

  • 100% Pinot Noir disgorged October 2018 with 2 gms dosage. My final bottle of the pair I bought back in 2020. The first bottle of the two was in 2021 and it left a very positive impression and so I had held the remaining bottle for the right occasion. We had that yesterday, with a small grower event we did in the backyard. I thought this Bauchets stood in there well with Egly, Agrapart, etc. It has a a fresh kind of piercing expression, a clean minerality yet there is a red fruit woven through the wine that when married together, it drinks excellent. I'm convinced now that it's worth sourcing more of this and seeing if some of the newer releases of Bauchets, even Tuilerie (which I have haad a few times also now).

  • Good energy, good concentration. Kept getting better and better with the last sips the best. Fun to share it with Sam over some excellent sushi at Taiko.

  • BdN from the lieux-fit of Les Bauchets. 1215 bottles made. Disgorged 18 October 2020 (I believe). Distinctly Pinot noir in the fruit profile. Very savory champagne, long finish. I preferred the La Tuilerie BdB to my taste, but this is well built.

Ausgezeichnete Harmonie. 94 vvPunkte vvWine.ch
