on pnp, was very bright and high-toned, great nose (dirty / gritty), and red fruit in the background, only on night two did I notice it being hot (then saw 15% ABV!! on the label)... still didn't have the 'in your face' kinda palate that drives me crazy... pretty nice but should have waited another decade or more

Deep ruby, almost opaque at its core, fades slightly at rim. Captivating aromatics - black cherry, tobacco, rose petal, baked earth and brambly spice tones.
On the palate, dense & structured yet also beautifully polished. Solid core of black and blue fruits, accented by notes of cured meat, underbrush, crushed rock minerality and hints of dark chocolate and cedar spice. Texture is lush and velvety. Firm, refined tannins.
Considerable concentration & intensity, with superb balance. The Sangiovese typicity shines through with bracing acidity and that classic saline minerality. The finish is great...lengthy, with with spice, tobacco and red fruit notes.
Still an infant, exceptional vintage. Would definitely decant. A brilliant, classically-styled Brunello built for aging.

Aromatically this is cherry fruit, plum skin and background notes of an anise flavored heat in the nose. In mouth it is more currants, black cherry and charcoal. The wine is full bodied with strong tannin and a mostly balanced acidity. A tremendous wine

Decanted an hour, and drunk over two. Will let the rest of my bottles hang out for a few more years before diving into them.
Rosemary, bakers chocolate, forest floor, cherry, espresso beans, black tea, raspberry.

Tät röd med begynnande tegel. Perfekt i balans med syra och tanniner, bär, körsbär, kryddighet. Komplex. Makalöst bra. Utmärkt.
