  Nose: smoke, red tea, leather, blackcurrant, blueberry, honey, red date
  Notes: 12.8% ABV, drank from a magnum in pristine condition. This is drinking very nicely and probably the perfect timing as it demonstrates great complexity and structure for old wines. What I love about this is that the freshness still remains here which was unexpected for a wine from this age. The wine went downhill relatively quickly so even for the magnum I would advise one to finish within an hour to get the best experience. Generally speaking I think the style of old Napa has been more subtle and fine compared to the modern era where focus has been shifted to fruitiness and concentration which to me is quite a shame.
