Nose: plum, iron, vanilla, dark chocolate Notes: decanted for 45 minutes before consuming. It's a pity that there wasn't much floral scent or red fruits in this wine and I would say the ironic elements in the wine were quite prominent. I would describe this as a tad rustic and can't say I enjoyed this too much. Drink: now+ Rating: 87

Nose: rose, lychee, cherry tomato, smoke, sweet cherry Notes: It remains confusing what's going on with all the different names/cuvees/labeling from Laurent and very limited information is available to explain the difference. Nevertheless this wine shows an excellent light aroma with a very interesting sweetness to it. This turned out to be quite different from what I had last time from the same batch of wines. I would say that the nose perhaps is a lot better than the palate as the palate is already a little tired and probably won't last for much longer. Drink: now+ Rating: 91

Nose: cedar, tar, black pepper, black fruits Notes: This supposedly favorite of many wine critics is not demonstrating much subtlety or finesse in my opinion. Perhaps Saint Julien will remain as one of my least appreciated appellations from Bordeaux as the nose is primarily cedar based which is not something I admire personally. This wine is still quite closed up and I don't have much interest here. Perhaps another couple of years can make this even better? Let's remain hopeful. Drink: 2030+ Rating: 88
