  Leapyear tasting (Red Dot Winebar Kristiansand): Classic nose, cherry, black fruit, cedar tree, tobacco and some baking spices. Well integrated typical tannins, med+ body/acid, well balanced and great length.

  Deep, dark, reddish-purple garnet in color bordering on opaque. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of black cherries, blackberries & mulberries with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes of violets, smoky, tar, minerals, tobacco, spices, herbs & oak/vanilla in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, lush, ripe fruit flavors of blackberries, dark cherries & mulberries with herbs, spices, minerals, cocoa & a hint of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but will develop further with additional aging.

  Cherries, plum, a touch of leather, great acidity. What brunello is supposed to be. Very good. Lots of years left.

  Fruit forward nose, biting acidity and tannin, needs more time to calm down, good nonetheless, nice long finish.
