ooooh, I don't like this. I know some people do, but the gamay dominates the pinot and the gamay fruitiness, commingled with the pinot structure reminds me of a cheap, cloying fruity CAL pinot. I like Chevillons regular bourgogne rouge, but although I am glad I have tasted this wine it is only because I now know this is not for me.

About $14.50 retail, after discount. This is a ripe, juicy, practical wine. Great with chicken kabobs tonight. Bright raspberry / cherry fruit with a light smokiness. I'd like to find more options in this price range that deliver this much pleasure.

Quite dark for a Bourgogne, can't detect any Gamay on the nose, pleasing wine. Will keep for some time but I am not sure if it will improve. I think I prefer the Bourgogne.

Terrific value. Aromatically very primary - ripe, fresh cherry fruit, mainly. More of the same on the palate, with some spiciness and a good beam of acid. Serve slightly chilled, and drink this one young in order to celebrate its fresh fruit.

Rustic, very flavoursome: a terrific value. Needs some time though. This 2002 is almost at its apogee.
