Garnet red with brick red hues. Very complex and seducing. Still some red berries left but lits of Meat mushroom and truffle notes. Full bodied with elegant tannins and very long finish.

3 hour decant helped this open up substantially. Initial nose was grilled meats, like a burger with gorgonzola or bleu cheese on top. With time the fruit came through. Ultimately this was a bit thin...a consistent problem with 2000s. At or slightly past peak

This is still early to consume without a long decant and venturi treatment for my tastes....That being said, after that the wine is balanced with good fruit and a nice finish.....try again in 5 years.

This is a marvelous bordeaux, drinking exceptionally well right now. We decanted the wine with an aerator, let stand 30-45 minutes and then enjoyed this great pauillac. There was nice soft fruit with well integrated tannins. There was none of the typical paulliac harshness. I was most pleasantly surprised, having drunk one about 18 months ago that seemed past its prime. If you have one, it is time to open and enjoy -- probably won't peak anymore.
