  • 2021 Quinta da Fonte Souto Portalegre Branco - Portugal, Alentejano, Alentejo, Portalegre
    Wine 1. A blend of 75% Arinto and 25% Verdejo. 14.5% ABV. Bright light yellow colour. Limited aromatics. Some apple, ripe citrus, almond, and salt, with medium-level acidity, and good length. Good body and texture. Should age well. 89(+) (89 pts.)
  • 2021 Symington Pequeno Dilema - Portugal, Douro
    Wine 2. A blend of 45% Viosinho, 30% Arinto, 15% Gouveio, 5% Alvarinho and 5% Verdelho. Bright light yellow colour. Citrus, tangerine, almond, and a touch of spice, with very good length. Finishes with pleasant, almond-like bitterness. Good medium acidity and freshness. (89 pts.)
  • 2022 Quinta da Fonte Souto Portalegre Rosé - Portugal, Alentejano, Alentejo, Portalegre
    Wine 3. 100% Aragonês (Tempranillo). 13% ABV. Pale salmon colour. Red berry fruit, herbal notes, green olive, and almond notes, with good, medium-level acidity and very good length. Lightly oily texture. Pleasant light bitterness on the finish. (89 pts.)
  • 2016 Symington Douro Vinha do Arco Quinta do Ataíde - Portugal, Douro
    Wine 4. 100% Touriga Nacional from a single vineyard. Dark ruby colour. Ripe, sweet red, blue and black fruit are joined by herbal notes, pine needle, spices, black tea leaf, and slate-like minerality. Good, medium to medium-plus acidity and high but round tannin. Good concentration. Lightly creamy texture. There is notable sweetness of fruit, but the wine finishes dry (not drying), with very good persistence. Still needs more time but should age well. (91 pts.)
  • 2020 Quinta do Vesuvio Douro - Portugal, Douro
    Wine 5. A blend of 75% Touriga Nacional, 22% Touriga Franca, and 3% Tinta Amarela. Aged for 16 months in 400l and 225l French oak barrels (80% new). Dark purple colour. Red and blue fruit, blueberry, violet, beetroot, spices, some liquorice, and balsamic notes, with medium-level acidity and ripe, medium-plus tannin that lend good grip. Balanced, with a lightly creamy texture. Very well-structured, and very long. A great wine that grabs your attention. Will age well. 92(+) (92 pts.)
  • 2020 Prats and Symington Douro Chryseia - Portugal, Douro
    Wine 6. A blend of 70% Touriga Nacional and 30% Touriga Franca, aged for 15 months in new 400-liter French oak barrels. Dark purple colour. Red, blue, and black fruit, beetroot, spices, vanilla, Earl Grey tea and slate-like minerality, with medium-level acidity, ripe, round tannin, and great persistence. The ripe, medium to full-bodied wine is made in an international style, and quite appealing. Well executed. (93 pts.)
  • N.V. Cockburn Porto White Heights - Portugal, Douro, Porto
    Wine 7. 100% stainless steel. According to Luis Carlos Fernandes, this white port is designed for mixology and also aiming at attracting younger customers. Beautiful package. 19% ABV. Bright light lemon colour. Citrus, tropical fruit, and light spice, with medium sweetness, good, supporting acidity and average length. The alcohol is lightly warming on the finish. Not the most complex, and not the longest, but a different, fresh and fruity style. (89 pts.)
  • 2017 Churchill/Graham Porto Late Bottled Vintage - Portugal, Douro, Porto
    Wine 8. Deep ruby colour. Black and blue fruit, floral notes, violet, spices, and black tea, with good acidity, high, well-integrated tannin, and super length. Sweet, with good balance and integration. A very good LBV. (91 pts.)
  • N.V. Graham Porto 20 Year Old Tawny - Portugal, Douro, Porto
    Wine 9. Medium brownish colour. Orange peel, fig, walnut, mushroom, some caramel, some roasted coffee, some tobacco, and spices. Sweet, with warming alcohol. Very long. (91 pts.)
  • 2000 Graham Porto Vintage - Portugal, Douro, Porto
    Wine 10. The first vintage of Graham's Vintage Port that was produced with mechanical treaders (robotic lagares). Complex aromatics. Good ripe red and black fruit, plum, herbal notes, some eucalyptus, spices, some liquorice, and black tea, with good acidity, round tannin, and superb length. Quite fresh. A great vintage for Graham's! (93 pts.)
