A bright mahogany with a just-ruby core. Very viscous and oil like, reminiscent of a PX sherry. Tarte tatin nose - buttery, caramel and a certain doughiness with some surprisingly crisp fruit. Off-sweet on the attack. Rich, with some tannic structure. Most unusual. Very nice, light freshness cutting the rich sweet fruitiness. Very Good. (4174 views)

Lovely dark tawny colour, tears clinging to the side. Nose of mocha, raisin, fig, mincemeat. The flavours are wonderfully, rich and sweet. There's raisins and sultana, cooked plums. No discernbible tannins and not at all cloying because of the fresh orange zest acidity on the finish. Really good stuff and great value. (3197 views)

Very oaky sweet red in style of port, vin doux natural. A solid amount of depth, not unusual for solera system wines, but also heaps of oak and tannins. The tannins offset the sweetness rather than acidity, but the overall effect is very pleasant for us - but we love oak. (210 views)
