Beautiful medium ruby color fading to just a hint of garnet near the rim. The nose presents with dark red fruit, a green, leafy quality, forest floor, vanilla, and hints of spice. On the palate, the wine is showing sour cherries, a bit of mushroom-y earthiness, but the acidity hits big time in the mid palate and doesn’t feel super integrated. The finish is medium with vanilla and baking spices and just a hint of bitterness. Tannins are present and fine-grained. (28 views)

beautiful color more extracted and denser then the thiner versions, fuller body, pepper, has still young tannins, very pleasant, very fresh. Very good structure and solid body with good fruit. Lacks any nuance. Should evolve with time and improve. (143 views)

WTF? On the first sip, smacked in the mouth with huge, scorched, toasty, pruney fruit. I really wished there was a dump bucket, but I managed to power my way through it and was glad I didn’t take a big pour. Yikes, not good. (235 views)

Our first red of the night, paired with sausage paella. Dark purple and opaque, with solid legs. Nose of blackberries and currents. Rich on the palate with an unmistakable ZING of acidity that softened after 15 minutes in glass. Very enjoyable - even more so after 10 minutes. (289 views)

I've enjoyed several bottles of this wine and it's one of my favorites. One thing I learned-the wine is drinking beautifully now, but still requires, at least, a 1 1/2 hour decant for the secondary characteristics to emerge. Intense ruby red color. Complex nose featuring tart cherry and cola, clove spiciness, the deepest note is tea leaves, no mushroom funkiness, maybe foresr floor. Unique characteristic-mouth-watering juiciness on a texturally soft, velvety frame that finishes long with a pleasantly bitter finish. Mendo pinot all the way. (312 views)
