This is a pleasing Mediterranean blend from Roussillon which steers well clear of the excessively sweet fruit and even cloying of many similar blends and has enough savoury earthiness, acidity and backbone to stand up to a stew in a tomato based sauce. Maury Grenache !!!! Perfect cork after almost a decade in the bottle. Consumed over two days, fruit more predominant on the first day. Softened depth and integrated complexity on day two. Deep dark ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of bing cherry with flavors of black cherry, fig, blackberry and a long finish. A very balanced flavorful Grenache from the Maury Sec in the Roussilon. This age worthy wine with more years of life left. Great fruit and a very good effort. (229 views)

Känns ungt, men känns också lovande. Ganska gott. Intrycket efter ett tag är nog som "körsbär i likör" från barndomens alladinask. Och i det här fallet inte som något dåligt. (922 views)

Dark, clear, slightly translucent ruby color. Aormas of strawberry jam, overripe blackcurrant, prunes and dried cherries in the sweet nose. The wine is sweet, intense and med-to-full bodied on the palate with flavors of dark cherries, strawberries, prunes and peppery spice. Medium acidity and medium tannins with the tannins giving the wine a slightly bitter bite. Super juicy finish with lingering flavors or strawberry, raspberry jam, some bitterness, faint peppery spice and a touch of cocoa.

Very enjoyable little sticky Grenache from the South of France. Still quite young and simple, and probably won't turn into anything spectacular in the cellar, but still has some potential to develop further over the next decade. Wonderful with cheeses, especially with a tangy blue cheese. A good buy at 10,98€. (1535 views)

Silky, soft, rich, sweet black fruit, spices, glossy, note of raisiny overripeness subsides with aeration, but a Port-like quality remains on the nose; there is no lack of freshness or velvety grip on the palate, juicy, spicy and punchy, the notes of surmaturité that were an unwelcome distraction initially, almost recede; good length with some mineral freshness.
