The WA review implies there is smoke taint. I opened this young wine to see if there was a smoke taint issue and did not detect any smoke taint. The other reviews on CT are positive with no mention of smoke taint. The wine is young now and takes a while to open up. This can be enjoyed now with a decant but the balance of mine will cellar for five years or more. (98 views) | ||||

Minty and oaky on the nose when opened. After an hour decant those subsided a bit and gave way to some dry earthiness. Mouthfeel is smooth. Everything is well integrated right now. Should get better over the next two years but don’t see much more improvement after that. (83 views) | ||||

Holy wow — this was delicious. Decanted for a few hours and ate with steak and it was the perfect blend. Delicious fruit flavor but not overly powerful. Nice dryness without completely taking all the moisture from your mouth. Had to finish this bottle in one night because it was so good. (106 views) | ||||
