Fruit still very strong, along with some pleasant mushroom that adds richness. Smooth, dry, slightly spicy palate. Firm, medium intensity tannins on the longish finish.

Tasted this at Wine Spectator’s Grand Tour in New Orleans. This was a very nice surprise. Who says Argentinian wines don’t age well? My wife and DQ may have liked this even more than I did. (199 views)

A great Malbec. Also not getting the tannin punch that some reference; they seem nicely integrated to me. Early in its window and clocking at 13.5%; no alcohol heat. This is savory & exceptional. (263 views)

At 10 years of age, it is at its peak. Lots of dark fruit, like plums, followed by notes of leather, tabaco and spices. In the mouth, opulent, well balanced with soft tannins, medium acidity and a long finish. (73 views)

Intense nose, loads of blackcurrant and black cherry, some cherry liqueur, alongside oaky notes of vanilla, chocolate, and brown sugar. The palate is likewise pretty plummy and concentrated, but with a pleasant red-cherry acidity, and a finish of fleshy plumminess plus herbaceous and bitter notes. I really wish there was more structure here – it feels big and fat – but there’s a reason this is a go-to for fans of big, oaky wines. And I have to say I still enjoyed myself. (117 views)

PNP. Did not standout in a blind lineup of other South American Malbec and Cab-Malbec blends. Still too young,
though tannins were round. Character of Cabernet Sauvignon seemed muffled. Probably should have been decanted. Tasted more textural like Malbec than Cab though latter dominant in blend (186 views)

A great Malbec that continues to evolve nicely. Notes similar to my last tasting in 2022. This wine is highly extracted with bold dark fruit, well balanced with velvety mouthfeel and long finish. (70 views)

Nez : complexe ! Cuir, vieille barrique, arômes balsamiques, café torréfié, épices-bois, fines herbes grillées, champignons et moisi...cave à vin, fruit liquoreux, et notes florales...superbe ! Fruité, souple, fondu, ample, étagé, harmonieux et sapide. Saveurs de fruits noirs mûrs...cassis, cerise noir et mûres, et liqueur aux bleuets. Également de moka, de cacao, de cannelle et vanille. Beautiful nose. Gave it two hours of air. Drinking spectacular also at this price point. Nice red fruit flavors with low tannins an good structure. Good acidity. Goes Better with the beef enchiladas I’m having with it.

Revisited the wine 6 days later. Not as strong as it was prior. Drink in the first few days. (150 views)
