Amorosa Bella means beautiful lovers in Italian. We are leaning towards this sparkler for our son's wedding. From a boutique sparkling wine producer in Sonoma. It is a very clean drinking sparkling wine with a beautiful nose. The bubbles are medium fine. Nice succulent flavors of citrus, primarily lemon and Mandarin orange, a touch of yeast, good minerality and excellent cleansing acidity. We enjoyed this immensely with our caprese appetizers and cod filet for dinner. (126 views)

Fabulous! This sparkling wine is astounding. Great structure. It aged beautifully. Tiny bubbles. Really terrific flavor. Paired well with cheese, dried fruits, chicken salad... I wish I had five more bottles! (249 views)

Similar notes to 9/17 -- this misses a beat compared to last time, but it's still an extraordinary bubbly. The same components are there, they're just not quite as in focus this time around. Instead, the wine has a creamier taste and feel that comes across a bit more luxurious. Not a bad tradeoff. Iirc Scott is down to his last case or two in the tasting room, but is also nearly ready to release the 2013 vintage, which I can't wait to try. (827 views)

Stumbled on this at Cellars of Sonoma in Healdsburg -- it's a collective tasting room that represents a handful of small wineries. The most notorious one is Heidi Barrett's La Sirena, but every one of them had at least one outstanding offering on the list. Highly recommend a visit.

Anyway, this wine is part of the tasting room owner's side project -- tiny tiny production, he only made a couple dozen cases of it iirc. It's a really special wine, and not just because of the scarcity. It's delicate and subtle, but the purity is outstanding. Perfectly-delineated strawberry, cardamom, rose petal, and white pepper. Honey graham cracker rounds out the finish, which hangs weightlessly for half a minute. Ultrafine, persistent bead. One of the best sparkling wines I've ever had -- hats off. (611 views)

PnP w/30 min glass time. Clear, med dark purple/red color. This wine was a gift & must be uncommon as I could find very little info on it. Wine showed better than expected. Definately CA vs. OR style. Fairly big w/good balance & proper Pinot flavor/nose. Nothing off, in a good drinking window. (1574 views)
