White Bluffs AVA. Blackberries, black cherries, red cherries, plum, earth, and herbs on the palate. Black cherries, tart cherries, plum, earth, and herbs on the palate. Lots of fruit, but comes across fairly savory. Nice acidity, grippy tannins, med-long finish. Overall, this was a tasty and well-balanced bottle. I wish I had another bottle. Had some of this wine two years ago, and wine was not very approachable. Opened and let breathe for a good couple hours, and wine is much different than before. Has a decent nose of black fruit, a small mineral, and and a tad pepper. Good black fruit on finish, and leaves a clean finish. Sourced from the esteemed Dionysus Vineyard, this straw-colored wine offers aromas and flavors of stone and tropical fruits, citrus, honey and pine nuts. Light-bodied, freshly acidic, unoaked and with a very light touch of sweetness, it stays solid on the middle palate and throws no heat from its paltry 12.5% alcohol.
