Much improved from a couple of years ago. Starting to open out but even though there’s some mature nutty flavours it still feels a bit young and awkward. Impressive concentration and length but gets a bit tiresome. Try again in 2026. Bit shocked at how expensive this is now. 3.5 (143 views)

Appropriately pale but dark hued brilliant red. Nose of ripe mixed red berry fruits - expressive and generous. Already quite layered on the palate - complex and full. But there is a coolness to the fruit - and a pleasant mineral thread from the bright acid that runs from the mid-palate through the long finish. Delicious succulent fruit. A wine that lives on its acid more than its tannins, which only show up really late and are buried in fruit. Really lovely and totally worthy of its premiere cru status. Probably most enjoyable in the next ten years but will surely last longer. Really good. (90 views)

Middels lys strågul med grønnskjær. Ganske stum ved åpning og gir lite på lukt og smak. Etter et par timer skjer det mer. Friske grønne epler, lime, et snev av flint. På smak er den frisk, tight, stram. Fortsatt uforløst. Mineralsk med saltpreg à la assyrtiko og ganske energisk, men denne burde ikke vært åpnet såpass ung. 87-88 p etter første dag. 1/4-del igjen til dagen etterpå, da skjer det mer. Duften blir fyldigere, varmere frukttoner på smak, gulere frukt, fortsatt flint. Delikat innslag av hvite blomster, pent fatpreg. Mye mer åpen på smak, mer fylde og fetere toner. Fortsatt mineralsk og med flint- og salttoner, og vinen treffer tungen med en nesten elektrisk intensitet. Rotdag i går, blomsterdag i går. Utviklingen skyldes nok hovedsakelig et døgn i åpen tilstand, men jeg tror litt på Maria Thun også, og høyner til 89-90 p. (394 views)

Nose: stone fruit, steel, jack fruit, hints of passion fruit, cream, citrus, white chocolate
Notes: 13%. This wine started off on the acidic side and certainly took a bit of time to open up. On the relatively lean side, I would enjoy this bottle a bit more if it carried a bit more weight. The overall nose is much better than the palate and it's a pity that the palate is not so well integrated. Frankly speaking I've also never been a fan of Tremblots either as wines from here I feel are often a little too acidic and lacks finesse. I'm thinking that time would help with the development of the wine so let's give it another 3 years before trying again.

Birthday party (Chicago, IL): From magnum. I remember the days when you could just buy as much of the Lamy 1ers as you wanted for under $100 (and sometimes even under $50). This was brilliant. No overt reduction, fresh fruit, clean chardonnay minerality. Just where you would expect this to be from such a great vintage. Delicious stuff. (417 views)

Lemon, subtle ripe tropical fruits. Lean, saline on the palate. Still fresh for its age. Not bad but not great. More acidic than expected but adds to freshness. (275 views)

Love this wine. Racy acid, loaded with bright lemon and lime citrus and wonderful tension. The fruit is a bit linear and wound up at this stage, but there's so much energy here that it cuts through nicely. (212 views)
