still some life in this one, 375ml bottle
in the glass dark red almost a purple core but not quite with very little rim variation.
on the nose.. baking spice and dark berry some earth and dried tobacco., initial pour had some sweetness (caramel) but that went away quickly.
on the palate baking spice, dried fall leaves, ash, acidity was medium minus tannns were medium plus, medium finish
some sediment in the bottle and attached to the shoulder as expected as this is unfined and unfiltered. (222 views)

I love drinking perfectly cellared and wonderfully crafted Napa Valley chardonnay beyond its normal peak drinking window. Beautiful acidity to carry the ample honeyed melon, pear, and oaky vanilla with a relatively crisp, clean finish devoid of lingering tertiary notes. Obviously in its golden years, but will drink wonderfully for another 5 yrs, if you're into excellent old CA chardonnay. (112 views)

WWC - NJH1122 (Fort Worth Club): Tasted blind - deep red in the glass, with some bricking; muted red fruit nose; decent acidity and red fruit on the palate. Very soft mouthfeel, and low to no tannins. The fruit was fairly sweet - I guessed a 2010 cab franc or merlot. Tasty wine. (131 views)

Stunning offering with this 2013 Reserve; a bit of tobacco comes through with medium tannins and super-refined fruit. At 10 years, it is still very much in its infancy - we brought it out to share with our neighbors on a special evening. But this wine probably has 40 years ahead of it, easy. (181 views)

Really enjoyed this wine. 13.2 on the alcohol made this a well balanced wine. Paired perfect with spaghetti and meat sauce. Very little sediment and did not need any decanting. (112 views)

375 ml bottle .In the glass golden yellow.. on the nose butterscotch, caramel and apple. On the palate caramel, honey, apple and pear. Finish was slightly bitter.. full bodied almost viscous . Aging gracefully..still some time to go.. might be slightly past peak in the 375 format.. 750 should be at or near peak .. larger formats will have some time left. (86 views)

Very good. Brought to dinner by a guest and dry cork crumbled upon opening so may have been an accelerated aging. Wine was initially in good shape with crimson edges but started to fade an hour after opening. So probably not a true rating compared to if it had been properly cellared. Although I read other ratings and it sounds like it was mature in '22 as well. It was still very good and tasted quite mature. Went well with our opening cheese course. I liked it a lot and just wonder how good it could have been. (162 views)
