2004 Isenhower Cellars Syrah Wild Alfalfa (USA, Washington, Columbia Valley) 3/24/2006Vodo

If we make a cult wine, Wild Alfalfa is it. Ranch Vineyard Syrah lends blueberries and vibrancy. The Ciel Syrah is a special clone of Syrah known as 174. The 174 Syrah clone has wonderful lilac and raspberry notes. Rustic
Ridge adds white pepper and pomegranates. The Wild Alfalfa is a very vibrant, floral wine with taut richness and intensity that will uncoil over the next eight year. 400 cases produced.

2005 Isenhower Cellars Snapdragon Roussanne/Viognier (USA, Washington, Columbia Valley) 3/24/2006Vodo

Tasting notes from winery:

(55% Roussanne – 45% Viognier)
Our fourth vintage of this wine is still Washington’s most unique white wine. The mango, rose petal, nutmeg, and cardamom flavors of Roussanne are completed by the peach, honeysuckle, and banana flavors of Viognier. Snapdragon is fantastic with Thai and Cajun cuisine! This wine is usually sells out 1 to 2 months after release so do not wait to purchase.

2004 Isenhower Cellars Red Paintbrush (USA, Washington, Columbia Valley) 3/24/2006Vodo

Tasting notes from winery: (80% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Syrah) $26

Our goal with Red Paintbrush is to make highly unique, velvety, and polished Merlot based wine. Syrah adds a spicy richness to the velvet texture of Merlot. A splash of Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon adds length
and intensity to the wine. This is our most popular restaurant wine as the blend lends itself to many cuisines. Because of the 2004 winter freeze we only have 425 cases available.

Tasting notes from winery: Peer through the Looking Glass to enjoy a sensory experience of blackberries, red berry jam, earth, white pepper, and toast. Looking Glass is our RTB Syrah (ready to barbeque). Toss the lamb medallions or pork chops on the grill and open a bottle. 80% of this Syrah is from the Rattlesnake Hills region of the Yakima Valley and 20% is from Red Mountain.

2004 Isenhower Cellars Merlot Wild Thyme (USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Horse Heaven Hills) 3/24/2006Vodo

From Winery Tasting Notes: (52% Merlot, 40% Cab. Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 2% Cab. Franc)
We blended Merlot from Red Mountain, Wahluke slope, and Yakima Valley with Cabernet Sauvignon from
the Horse Heaven Hills, and Red Mountain, with a touch of Petit Verdot, and a dollop of Cabernet Franc. The
Wild Thyme is a complex, yet drinkable dark red wine with flavors of red plums, currants, thyme, cigar box,
toast, and vanilla. The middle palate is firm and mouth filling. The finish is long and soft. Wild Thyme is great
value! (1245 views)
