Decanted for an hour..took some muscle to get the purple cork to budge...heavy alcohol / nail polish on the nose that needed the hour plus to burn off a bit and let what fruit remains to come through...well past its prime. (105 views)

Not sure exactly why, but this wine was a bit of a disappointment, given its high scores. Upon opening two bottles, both of which tasted and smelled exactly the same, the wine was dominated by heavy tannins, so I decanted it in cellar for about 4 hours before serving. By mealtime (prime rib), the tannins had resolved nicely, but the wine felt "heavy", there was no lift to balance the dark fruit flavors of the wine. The wine was good, but there was no excitement in drinking it, and I had hoped for more at this price point. Perhaps it had been open too long? (107 views)

Drank with some wine friends over dinner. A great bottling of Cemetery. Very smooth on the palate and tasted perfect. Rich velvety texture that was perfectly balanced and had a smooth and lingering finish. A perfectly aged Napa cab. Absolutely loved this! (275 views)
